Panthers knock off defending State Champions Marysville 47-31 in opening NCKL dual.

The panthers started the dual with 3 falls from Logan Leiszler, Sajen Kemling, and Jordan Anguish. Koby Tyler fell short in an overtime match to give Marysville their 1st points of the night. Daniel Vines picked up a fall and Toby Wahlmeier had an open to get the Panthers rolling again. Marysville earns two falls over Cade Anderson and Nathan Brown to bring the dual score to 29-15. Layton Kindel earned a fall followed by a loss by Keyan Miller 9-1. Hunter Schroeder earned a fall. Marysville earned falls over Robert Trost and Shelby Giersch. The final bout of the night was an open for Dalton Owen to give the Panthers the victory 47-31.

The Junior Varsity wrestlers was also in action against the Bulldogs. The panthers came away with two wins. Senior Kassidy Leiszler picked up a major decision and Sophomore Austin Wilson picked up the fall at 182 pounds. Freshman Gunnar Hale and Michael Ashland lost by fall.

The panthers will be back in action Friday with Varsity at Hoisington and JV at Abilene.
