Junior Varsity Wrestling, Varsity Wrestling · Panthers Win Home Opener

The Concordia Panther Wrestling team captures their second NCKL dual victory Thursday night against league foe Wamego.

The Panthers jumped out to an early 21-0 lead behind pins from Sajen Kemling, Jordan Anguish, Daniel Vines and a 8-6 victory from Koby Tyler. Then came storming back the Red Raiders winning the next 5 matches of the dual to take a 24-21 lead over the Panthers. This would be the last time the Red Raiders got on the board as the Panthers would win the final five bouts starting with an 8-1 victory from Keyan Miller, a fall from Hunter Schroeder, a blood time forfeit to Robert Trost, fall from Shelby Giersch, and a forfeit to Dalton Owen. This would bring the dual score to 45-24 in favor of the Concordia Panthers.

The dual victory brings the Panthers NCKL dual record to 2-0 on the season.

The Wrestling team will be back in action Tuesday night at Cloud County Community College against Republic County.
