Varsity Cross Country · Panther Cross Country Runners Compete at Wamego Invitational


The Concordia High School Girls Cross Country team notched a 10th place finish in the Girls 1A-2A-3A race at the Wamego Invitational on Saturday, September 12th.

Junior Jordan Gilkeson led the way for the Lady Panthers, turning in a time of 23:44.7 to finish in 33rd place individually.  Sophomore Jaida Koester was 42nd overall in a time of 24:07.4.  Senior Harleigh Smith was 67th overall in a time of 25:53.2, while Senior Emma Losh ended up in 70th place in a time of 26:17.8.

Other Concordia results saw Sophomore Moyra Barnes finish in a time of 30:08.4.  Freshman Megan Barr was right behind her in a time of 30:12.4.  Sophomore Peyton Johnson posted a time of 31:23.6.

In the Boys 1A-2A-3A race, Concordia was led by Sophomore Alan Garcia who recorded a 36th place finish in a time of 19:45.5.  Freshman Qwinter Zimmerman was 106th overall in a time of 22:25.4.
