Multiple Teams · Concordia Chess Competes in First Virtual Tournament

The Concordia chess team competed in its first virtual competition on Saturday.  The tournament was hosted by Arma. Some students competed from home, and some competed from the school. Students competed in six rounds of chess against students from all over the state.

Aren Gennette competed in the K-5 division. Gennette placed 11th, with two wins.

In the K-8 division, Brady Roberts placed 34th, with one win. Ayden Nutsch placed 33rd, with two wins. Haley Daines placed 25th, with 2 wins. Keaton Hetrick placed 23rd, with two wins and one draw. Dylan Morris placed 11th, with 3 wins. Francisco Ayala placed 5th, with four wins.

In the K-12 division, Bricen Benyshek placed 3rd, with four wins and one draw, placing third.
