Forensics Qualifies Three to Nationals and One More to State

The Concordia forensics team qualified three students, in two different events, to the National Catholic Forensics League’s Grand National Tournament on Saturday. Forensics Students Place at Virtual Tournaments

The Concordia forensics team has competed virtually the past two weeks. On Saturday, February 13, the forensics team competed in Coffeyville-Field Kindley’s virtual tournament. Roman Hay and Sam Jeardoe both competed in Impromptu Speaking and Original Oration. Jeardoe placed seventh in Impromptu Speaking. On Saturday, February 20, the forensics team competed in Lyons’s online tournament.

Forensics Competes at Republic County

The Concordia Forensics team competed in it’s first competition of the year on Saturday, when they traveled to Republic County High School. This weekend was the first weekend for forensics competition. Students competing were Moyra Barnes, Justice Alexander, Haley Daines, Conner Thrash, and Roman Hay. The Concordia forensics team competed at Salina Central on Saturday. Roman Hay competed in Impromptu Speaking and Original Oration, placing sixth in OO. The Concordia forensics tram competed at Beloit High School on Saturday. Conner Thrash and Astoria Kindel competed in Duet Acting, placing third. Kindel also competed in Program of Oral Interpretation, placing third, and Thrash also competed in Original Oration, placing first.
